I think he does rate him but none of us on here know for sure.

He's deffo brought Olsen in to kick him up the backside but for me the fact he wants to keep Olsen suggests he has seen enough of Pickford to think he's happy enough with him as our no1 now he has decent competition breathing down his neck.

I doubt we have the cash to throw money at another keeper like Chelsea and City did. Even if we did it is a long way down the priority list of areas of the team needing sorting first. Pickford’s form has undoubtedly improved since Olsen came in. It’s still not what we’d want, or maybe even what Carlo wants, but as a short term solution a better number 2 on loan has increased the standard of goalkeeping in the team. It’s been a while since he dropped a ball into the net.
