West Ham for example in 5th are 41 for 31 against.

For me not scoring has screwed us more.

Seeing more of the ball immediately cuts down the goals conceded as well. They haven’t been great obviously but every game has been wave after wave of attack from oppositions

I have to agree. Yes, the defence has made mistakes this season but seeing as we haven't been scoring, it only takes 1 mistake to finish us at the moment.

Against Villa, we weren't great but we had more than enough opportunities to win but, for a multitude of reasons we couldn't put more than one on target.

Defensively, we also looked better against Villa (albeit, far from perfect) than under the oink merchant. For me, they're both areas where Lampard can improve.

The new midfielders may sort out our glaring weakness too.
