The "Could" in "could be interested" doing a lot of heavy lifting there for Dave.

If we could sell Pickford for silly money and pick up Dean Henderson, Sam Johnstone or Nick Pope for not so silly money then it wouldn't be so bad and would help balance the books...

I wouldnt want any of them as 1st choice.

Plenty of other superior keepers around.

50 million for Pickford. England number 1 plus what arsenal paid for the supposedly best keeper since Buffon. Otherwise do one.

£40-50mil for Pickford poses an interesting question.

I think Longstaff may not happen until the summer.
Newcastle do not need the money anymore and may want to keep their squad together to help avoid relegation.
We are not going to pay a large fee anyway for someone out of contract in five months.

we all know Newcastle are going to bring in more players, also in midfield.
and probaby a combination of not a great contract offer/less playing time is why Longstaff wants out. The only hope you can have is we find someone else in the meantime as Benitez does not seem to hang about on transfer dealings.

He scored more goals than Grealish under their last manager. He offers more than Iwobi prob ever will and assuming the manager picked him he obv suits the system better. Finally its a loan if he's crap we can send him back. Don't see what the issue is here
