My missus is a Villa fan so I watch Villa games a lot. El Ghazi is no where near Premier League standard. His goals mostly come from penalties that he didn't win. He offers nothing in terms of dribbling past players and is a very selfish player. He's not a proper winger. Even a loan would be a disgrace.

If true, I have no idea why we are even after a winger? Gray, Townsend, Richarlison, Gordon. Even Iwobi is there (not that I want him to play). Why go for another one?

Because this is a once in a lifetime opportunity that we cannot allow to pass us by.

Bizarre to get in another winger - loan I could just about stomach but be a little bewildered. If we actually spend £15m on a villa reserve when we have gaps at CB and CM I’ll be campaigning to get brands back!

Desperate stuff but a loan with no obligation to buy at least we can punt him at the end of the season. If we pay money for him and longstaff - exactly why I didn’t want this manager overseeing the long term rebuild of the club. Hope both deals fall through so we’re saved from ourselves but doubt it, we’re not that lucky - probs get them both on 4 year deals!

Look at the signings so far: it's a mixed bag of younger and established: PL experienced and non-PL experienced...and the cost has been kept down in terms of fees atm to below £40M for 6 players.

That divvy Brands would spend that on one rubbish player.

So this time last season after 18 games (similar situation teams above us had played 19/20) we were 7th with 33 points.


We tailed off at the end of the season and then Carlo left. Obviously big shock changes plans etc.


But clearly there was something there in the team, we just needed some extra to keep us going in the later part of the seasons.

Right now after 18 games we're 15th with 19 points.

We've gone backwards, the team is worse under this manager than the previous. The absolute minimum is you do as well as your previous season which we're not going to do and what makes it worse is this manager is supposedly a defensive minded one.

Crazy he has this much control now.
