Everton in crisis? - Daily Mail Article

Irrespective of how Villa are doing, the board at Everton don't have the financial muscle of our competitors we are skint but still afloat.
What concerns me most is, these pressure groups who want the board out at all costs have no viable plan to replace them or to bring in the investment we all crave for.
The club is for sale as stated again in this article, to the right buyer, that being a person or persons who have the financial clout to enable us to compete with the teams at the top of the prem.

Do you do much reading into stuff at the club mate, annual accounts, trends, comparrisons etc.

with the amount of report writing i do in my job , no. its heavy enough without wading into that. but there seem to be plenty who do, so , no worries.

there have been differing stories regarding this, at various times. i will believe it ONLY when bill stops saying the word "investment"

You changed your tune since the January transfer window mate. I've said this before but I'll say it again: after that window closed you admitted (reluctantly like, but admitted nevertheless) that something was wrong at the club and we needed to be sorted out - this was in the wake of LCAB's stories about how the club had scuppered transfer activity.

Since then you've rowed back to your original position of unquestioning loyalty to a failed board of directors. You're a decent chap and all that, dont get me wrong, but I cant really take your stuff seriously after that vaulte face. Maybe you just feel that you have to even up the case against the board or something.

Anyway, just saying like.

I havnt changed one Iota though the picture is now clearer, i beleive the club over budgeted and big time needed to get players of the books, i havent changed that stance - if thats the something wrong you referring to it hasnt changed.

I havent changed from the fact that i beleive we have hit a glass ceiling and cant make more reveue, under the present board unless a stadium is sorted out, if not the club wont grow. But and its a big but, if you think the board hasnt porgressed Everton your wrong, if you think they havnt provided a foundation for success for the manager and team your wrong, if you think they have bad intentions for Everton your also wrong.

Like i maintain i dont care whos in charge of Everton once its thebest thing for Everton and presently i beleive our board are better then Venkys you have lifted your skirt up at in your time.

If you want to paint me as the board white knight go ahead, you seem intent in making me your yang, but im not arsed whos in charge really, once the fundemntals are right. I do trust the board at the mo, not to do a Learner and i know every penney will go back into the club. I also know you would be of your rocker to buy Everton, so i dont think offers havebeen turned down.

I take issues withlies though and you guys give me loads of ammuniton, Phip Greenes, Annexes, Administration - the perfomence of theboard has been commendable - but as the world and its mother excpets - a stimulas is needed in whatever form that takes. Apart form that you guys create a bad bubble of de[prestion that isnt realistic given we have a boss team and are going to make a couple of signings anyway.

You've changed your position a few times, to be fair mate. I'm not misrepresenting you, IMO.

And this mantra you now have "the board are commendable"; even your Financial Review partner Damon has deserted that position.

It's sad to see. Your loyalty his being abused.

did you not get what happened over KD?
did you not see the bigger picture over DK?
they have lied/misinformed and are really a busted flush, the club is treading water at best, and you say all this is COMMENDABLE? they are not doing their best, they are doing damage limitation. unbelievable.
