Everton games on TV

Funny isn't it that for years we got told that the derby could never be anything other then an early kick off as the police where biting their nails at the prospect of us all having a few drinks and the inevitable violence that would ensue. Yet the second it suits sky the whole thing stops being an issue. Its almost like sky and the other tv companies totally control the game.......

Also, that rule only ever seemed to apply when the game was at our place....was there ever an early kick off at the pit?

I'm personally fine with it being Monday night. One of my favourite ever derbies was that 2-0 win in Royle's first game and that was on a Monday under the lights. The atmosphere was unreal on that occasion.

I'd sooner it be when it's going to be played than a 12.30 Saturday kick off. Atmosphere is usually poor at those games.

Nothing better than a night derby match at goodison under the lights the atmosphere will be different class I understand it’s a pain for some but personally I prefer it a night match

Everton's match at Chelsea in March and the following week's Goodison Park Merseyside derby have been moved for live television coverage.
Carlo Ancelotti's side will travel to Stamford Bridge on Sunday 8 March for a 2pm kick-off, the game shifting from its original 7 March date for screening by Sky Sports.
Everton's home meeting with Liverpool, previously pencilled in for 3pm on 14 March, moves to Monday 16 March at 8pm and will be broadcast on the same channel.
Damn, St Patricks Day ruined works closed on 16th and 17th if they beat us and happen to win the league that day, there's no way I'm going out for drinks the whole place will be crawling with them bag licking bastards.

You'd like to think with this team full of unmotivated, lackluster professional footballers, this would be the one game, with the steaks so high, that they'd want to push themselves to the limit of their technical and physical abilities. Not one of our players should leave that pitch with anything left inside them. We all know how good they are,but our players have to take it to them full throttle.Them not winning the league on our patch would be the smallest of victories this season, and also think its the least the players owe the fanbase after the complete shambles of a season.

The derby getting moved to the 16th means I get the pleasure of seeing Liverpool win the league at Goodison on my birthday :pint2::pint2::pint2::pint2:
