What do you reckon?

You think our guys should get stuck into heavily armoured and tooled up paramilitary police with their bare hands.....start chucking chairs and coffee cups at them?

It's not a question of "turning the other cheek"......it is a question of getting out of there in one piece and you won't accomplish that by taking the buggers on in hand to hand combat.

There will be too many Everton skulls cracked by those thugs with batons.

We are on your side over here.....there is little we can do except highlight your plight in the media and hope some pressure can be brought to bear by the British consulate in Lille.

I am sure I speak for most of us back here in Liverpool in saying we all know some boys over there....our brothers, sons, mates etc.

We are all very concerned about the treatment being meted out to you over there.

Keep your head down, Azzurri.....and all the very best to you and your companions out there.

aye, I get that. I'm not suggesting anyone does anything but there's people about who are almost suggesting we shouldn't be angry.

"I know you've been attacked along with children and the elderly then tear gassed and hit with batons for no reason by the police but turn the other cheek, don't retaliate".

I wish about 5,000 lids could fill a few of these knobhead police officers in to be honest.
 
I was in the main square 10 mins before the tear gassing. Blues had set off a blue smoke bomb, which I presume was the provocation for the French police - but there was just a chilled, relaxed vibe.

There was no reason to clear the square with gas and rubber bullets!

Do you know if anyone was hit by a rubber bullet?
 
10-15 Lille attacked the main Everton group at the grand place. After a few fist were thrown the Lille guys retreated. After that the riot police got mixed in. Threw a few tear gas bombs. Terrible decision making by the French police. Don't blame Everton for this
