I'm not a man of faith, but I certainly hope his family and friends have the comfort they need at this time and can seek whatever solace they need.

Exactly my thoughts, didn't seem right . No expert but feared the worst as they were so long treating him at the seat instead of stretchering him away immediately - must have been 20-30 mins. HOWEVER not criticising, the paramedics, stewards etc obviously worked so hard and they are obviously the experts in that situation, and if its true he has died I am gutted. So sad.

I know its hard for those around to watch but in fact the first 60 minutes (the "Golden Hour") are the most vital in an emergency case like this. If trained personnel can administer CPR there and then without losing time moving the patient, it is the preferred advice in Emergency Medicine.

Sadly, he didn't make it. RIP and my deepest sympathies to his friends and family.

Poor fella, goes out to watch his beloved blues and never makes it home, terrible. Thoughts of course go to his family.

Well done to off duty doctor etc though who performed CPR and did their best, it's incredibly hard work CPR and has nowhere near the success rate you see in the movies, but they gave him the best possible chance with their efforts.
