I have to say that those who expect footballers to be brilliant at kicking a ball but also to have some sort of intelligence and a social conscience really do expect too much in my opinion.
Footballers who are at the highest level tend to be spotted at a young age and tend to put their efforts into playing football rather than their studies. There will always be exceptions but generally footballers concentrate on football.
I have not heard anyone saying they will not vote for Teresa May or Jeremy Corbyn because, while I agree with their policies, they can't kick a ball to save their lives.
Gray did make a complete arse of himself but if he does come to Everton I will base my opinion of him on how he conducts himself when he is here.

Only the English footballers, the vast majority of foreign players always sound well educated and intelligent when giving interviews.

I can't see Gray here,a club with aspirations of pushing for the title or top 4 like us should be aiming higher.

WE are above this type of player,this is something that the Moyes era would buy but we are long gone from that era and now we feast with the big boys now for talent.

Leave the scraps for the WBA's and Stoke's of this world.
