Absolute nonsense. We have the best centre half pairing in the league by a million miles, Rafael is the best young defender in the country, Carrick is one of the best midfielders in the league, our keeper is the best young keeper in the world and when on form Nani is world class though he is extremely inconsistent.

If you think Baines and Felli aren't that good and that we'll be better off with the money then why don't you lot go buy James McCarthy and Tom Ince? We'll sell you Oviedo too and then you'll have the dream team which your money would make possible for us. Also 'koff.

Apparently Athletic Bilbao have confirmed that they have received a £30m bid from Man Utd for Ander Herrera. He's a midfielder, so this might mean they have given up on Fellaini. EDIT: It was rejected as they demand £36m for him, which is his release clause.

Ha-ha ... Moyes you asshat stop low-balling clubs who don't want or need to sell their players.

Imagine if we sold both for £38m and didn't sign anyone. It would be like bringing a burro to a horse fight.

Ref the childish discussion with Mancs about who's rated/overrated in their respective clubs, for what it's worth it's obvious they know best as their team is better than ours, so please do as Davey would wish us to and bow down and be subservient to them....

On a more serious note as 95% of the Mancs games are covered by live TV I think we Blues are in a better position to make a judgement on their players, their judgements on ours, are based on a couple of games per season and weekly 2 minute MOTD slots along with 2 ex-kopites progressing their anti Fellaini agenda

That'd value I guess around 20m Baines and 25m Fellaini, which cannot be sniffed at tbh. Not in our position.

Obviously the problem is it's right at the end of the window and the money will either be wasted or will disappear.

Edit: Such a shame because some very decent players have gone for next to no money this summer, all of whom we'd have had a chance in signing...
