Goin by team selections the rs are not too bothered about the league cup though.

If they didn’t fulfill the fixture there would be all sorts of negative press and a fine and so on, maybe even omitted from the competition for the following season, they won’t want any of that associated with them.

United were pressurised into taking part in a world club championship to be fair, a new competition that never took off.

It suited them to play the world club as it meant more money. And I'm sure the Fa compensated them too.
It was a farce and was the beginning on the end for the fa cup .

Also how come there was no VAR? I thought the League Cup had it last year, wasn't Mourinho moaning about some incident.
