I think there maybe be some issues with the stadium and the capacity has been reduced. We might only get 2-3 thousand. Normally they would give 5/6 thousand.
Football ground guide says 3,700 as the norm. But can be upped for cup ties. I suppose it depends on any 'issues' as you say. Hopefuly not.

Cant see the Wednesday game being on TV now thatt he "big clubs" are in, will be United one night and Liverpool the next

Sheff Wednesday any good these days?

I don’t follow the football from anywhere below Everton so I wouldn’t know.

My own pick would be Portsmouth v Saints and think they will pick Preston v Man city, those 2 games
we have the 2 sheffield teams that week, sheff utd in league on the sat, then sheff wed on the Tuesday or wednesday,Goals as they go in via cup game will be shown on sky sports if not live for TV

I'm not going to argue with a tie against lower league opposition.

Always quite liked Sheffield Wednesday, hopefully we'll put a few past them before advancing without much fuss.

Seems like the issue was with letting Wednesday fans leave the stadium and pass through the area where traveling fans leave, not with the stands themselves. Had some trouble during the last Sheffield derby.

the police will probably decide which night this is on,
sheff utd are at home as well against sunderland and then play big red on the early kick off following Saturday,
theres no advantage playing either night as far as I can see!

Sheffield woollyback here, might be able to clear some things up. Sheffield Wednesday traditionally have been the bigger club in Sheffield but recently the blades have got their act together on and off the pitch. Hillsborough has essentially been left and the old Leppings Lane end is still a massive issue the ground needs a lot of work now.

With running problems at the Leppings Lane end and the notoriously delicate South Yorkshire police Wednesdays capacity is subject to Safety Advisory Group (SAG) just like Millwall have. Recently Wednesday fans have been critical of SAG cordoning large sections of seats off and forcing all home fans to leave only Via the kop end of the ground only. This tie will either be ridiculously segregated or seen as an opportunity for SAG to make some friends again.

As for a side they have no permanent manager with a group of players signed by a few different managers similar to us a few years back. Full team out and we should be able to see them off.
