Everton are bigger than any manager any player. We the fans are the club.

Basically there is no chance of it happening then :(

Conspiracy theorists reckon Newcastle's relegation fixed their massive money issues and the parachute payment meant that they could come back up in far better shape ? Ashley got loads of dead wood off their pay roll.
They had to come up first time of asking.
Now then, would you get relegated to get rid of Kenwright ??

If the board sold their shares to a fans consortium then those fans would own the club. Needs someone to organise and lead it from the fans side and there are no obvious candidates.

Correct, but even the odd few shares rarely come on the market. Ask yourself why ?

No chance, I'd rather wait for investment than take all them risks. Plus we haven't got a massive worldwide fanbase.

"Mercenary" labels are wide of the mark and unhelpful.

He is paid well because we all knows he is a good manager. He's never (as far as we know) actively looked for another job, and the club has paid him handsomely to continue with the job that we have entrusted him with. He's never done anything disloyal or forced the club to pay him more than they were prepared to.

If he leaves, I'll fully understand his reasons and he'll leave my my blessings. How many of you are still in the same job you were back in 2001?

I personally think he was promised money to spend in Jan, had to wait till the last 2 days, couldnt spend it and this is his way of saying Fck you to Bill.

You're saying he's a gullible idiot then? Believing that puts him right up there with those who believe the takeover rumours come season ticket renewal time.

I reckon he made his mind up ages ago, he wants to leave but is just hanging on incase something miraculous happens here, or when the offer of the Man U job doesn't come he'll resign here rather than risk walking away from a cushy contract.

NO. but Bill and His Board would if it Prevented themselves from Still not having to do a Tap on investment and papering over the cracks for a few more years :@

We are the highest bidder. No other club would pay him what we pay him.

We don't give him money for the team, mind, but as a mercenary he wouldn't care about that.

Lol behave yourself. I know for a fact that Newcastle came sniffing for him in 2008 and were offering him more money, and he didn't go then, he signed a new 5 year deal, his current deal.
