Throughly enjoyable and professional job by the blues today, made even better when my scorecast came in! 1 of the best all round performances i have seen from the blues in a while with a few candidates for MoM.

Jo - Scored 2 good goals, worked hard and made a far better overall performance
Cahill - Marshalled the middle superbly, never giving the Wigan midfielders a moment peace
Hibbo - So great to have him back, excellent defending and some great balls in, incl 1 for Fellaini's goal
Ossie - Where has that performance been all season Leon?
Which leads me to my MoM Fellaini, a superb display today from the Belgian playing just off the front man, winning countless headers, holding the ball up and scoring a well taken goal.

its interesting to see how after 4-0 we spent the last 25 mins playing defensively..why the hell would you play defensively with such a big scoreline? Moyse and his negative mentality..shut up shop.0.o

Your anti Moyes campaign is getting a little tiring now mate, where are we are because of him. As for the playing defensively thing, how did you come to that? He put Saha on and went 4-4-2. it was the players who passed it around and seen out the match.

we need to replace that clueless corpse..osman for a start and while we are at it Jo

And that, well that just says it all. Arguably our best two players today.

Think before you type you melt.

Went today, instead of being one bad, bad armchair.

We won very comfortably indeed, I wouldnt even say we played outstanding or anything - Wigan were awful. One thing that is more noticable is that were far more comfortable with a recognised right back, the balance is far better. Were passing the ball much better out of defence too, Neville is always showing for the ball and Jagielka and Lescott are happy to pass it around the back until an opening shows up. Were keeping much better possession, on the times we do try the long ball it usually ends up with a blue shirt - Fellaini and Jo did a good job of that today. Its nice to have a more mature approach to our game.

There were a couple of outstanding performances today. Jo, as I told you all his would be, was really good. He was challenging for, and winning, lots of headers and generally putting himself about a bit more. Fellaini played much better than late, with some good link up play in the "Cahill" postion.

The game's oustanding performer was Osman though, he was a real threat every time he had to ball, linking up well with Hibbert and his distribution was much better. I really wish he could be more consistent as on this form he's very hard for the opposition to deal with and he made our play tick over really well.

Keep this up and we should finish fifth or sixth comfortably enough.

Struggling to see how Wigan are up there today though.

Yeah the passing was great today, best display since losing Arteta.

Nice to see Jo can actually put his boot through the ball when shooting haha.

Neville starts most of our attacks, he's always showing for the ball. He also breaks play up very well and is intelligent.

He's been fantastic all season, I'd have no problem with him being Arteta's partner next season. It would save us money and we could concentrate on other areas like a winger or a striker.

Great result, and good all-round performances, won’t have done our goal average any harm either. Special mention for the 2 front men. Fellaini had a great game, good goal, 2 assists and held the ball up well. Good to see Jo scoring and looking fitter, better work rate, chasing down defenders and putting himself about. Midfield put in a good performance, on of top of their game. Have to admit I’m starting to become a Hibbert fan. Such an improvement in his play going forward, putting in some good crosses with an assist for 1 of the goals.

Finished the game with an all English back 4 and midfield, not a lot of premiership teams could manage that.

Who were the small contingent of Jacobsen fans making a lot of noise, tourists? Thought Moyes might have given Jacobsen a 2 minute cameo appearance. :)

I noticed that on Match Of Day. I did read all the Danish are made up with their 2 international results that he was a part of so I'm guessing they turned up to see the man in action.....

He's not good enough for us though hahahahaha.

Nah, I'm warming to Jacobsen, I think he's be very good back up for the squad who'd give Hibbo a run for his money. But I'm guessing he'll want 1st team footy to stay in the national side, and his age isnt the best.

Good performance, good win, just the tonic but Villa next week will be a different story.

AS for Osman, best game all season so what was missing before? Was he unfit? lack of confidence? For me the jury is still out as to whether he should stay but more games like this may just turn him round. What we need from him is to be consistently good.

Injury and playing out of position are probably the two things that have held him back this season.

Great performance. A great game to watch.

Fellaini and Jo linked well and Fellaini played very well, i think he's awful in the centre midfield but he's a totally different player behind the striker. I'm not sure if he wants to play that role but that role is where he is most effective and had a cracking game yesterday.

I've always liked Jo but he played well yesterday again, linked up well and slotted his chances when they came. Cahill and Neville showed an excellent balance and Pienaar and Osman created. The midfield had a perfect balance, and for me, that is our best team that we have with the players available (I'd prefer Saha to play but he's equally as good as an impact player).

Great performance again by Hibbert.

Great finish by Jo, everyones favourite Brazilian.:dodgy:

Similar to his goal against Stoke, great touch with his right foot and bang, back of the net.
