But Barry never touched it, nor made a real effort to effect the play. I've only seen it live though, and no replays, but my immediate reaction was no way was it offside.

That liner though, never raised his flag once in the first half, but couldn't wait in the second.

Again, not watched it over, but Doku diving like, double figures, right.
He’s not off because the City defender began a new phase of play when he got control of the ball and by then Barry is onside and after that you can’t be off from a backpass

Youve got all the b's. Chelsea who will get var . Then Fulham Sunderland even Newcastle could sneak in . Winning all 3 likely won't be enough now.
If Everton win all three remaining matches, which was a condition in my OP, there's no mathematical path for Sunderland or Newcastle to pass us. Fulham would have to win all three remaining matches and have a goal differential of 6+ more than Everton in the final three matches to pass us. Seems fairly unlikely they will do so since they are as prolific a side as Everton.

As I say even if somehow we won 3 games lol it still may not be enough. I highly doubt we win those 3 either .

He was in front of Guehi and offside when the initial ball was played but then the second phase begins when Guehi has control of the ball and plays a poor back pass and Barry nips in and scores so we got a VAR decision in our favour for once is the upshot.

Doku was diving and Silva got away with a ridiculous shirt pull on Rohl as well.

I'm happy with the effort tonight. First half we done what we had to and were unlucky to go in a goal down. City are a magnificent football team and I was in awe of them first half.

Second half we seemed to get in their face a bit and take the game up a notch, those balls in behind were working and City didn't like it. We done very very well to create those chances and should have been out of sight. The lads got leggy and I think a few changes came too late on.

Also, I missed the Haaland goal, I just saw him running back to the centre circle and I couldn't comprehend what had just happened.

It’s drivel that we factually blew a 2 goal lead going into the 82nd minute?
'Blew' is a highly emotive and imprecise term. Unless there are specific blunders that you can point to, then conceding goals near the end or near the beginning are just incidents of timing. Is conceding 2 goals in 45 minutes, for instance, different from conceding 2 goals in 20 minutes? Goals is goals, me ole cock sparrer, whensoever they occur.

I’m having major issues trying to get on

Not that half of you care like

Utterly numb terrible first half

Bullied them them second half

We missed sitters and tarks and Keane
Letting haaland walk though was a disgrace

it showed we can play when we Attack
