…I try to not look at fixture lists but I’m aware of the next two PL games and the real opportunity we have of cementing a place in the chasing pack.

The crowd could have a big part to play in this one.
I think we will all be bang up for it on Sunday!

Our first home game of the festive period and something to aim for in terms of further progress up the table.

I’m coming up from London with my son so can’t wait!

Villa have just come off an 11 game winning streak that's taken in top PL opposition and a couple of tough CL games. It shouldn't be beyond us to knock off tripe like Forest, Brentford, Wolves and Sunderland...the latter three all at home.

But this is what Ilm talking about: expectation levels at Everton dumbed down for years and it'll continue apace too because the man who got the ball rolling on expectation management is back as manager again.

No, mate. 4 games is what we can win here - I for one am never going to dumb down my expectations of what's doable.
You told us sacking Dyche would put us at huge risk of going down and we simply had to keep him to just stay in the league even after he’d won something like once in 14 matches and had us in the relation mix once again. Yeah, your expectations were always sky high.

As Forest did we could find ourself struggle to break down opposition who are happy to sit in and counter. Definitely a need for fans to be patient - AND supportive rather than passive.

Brentford are no mugs and have grown as the season has progressed. And Wolves have started to look better regardless of them being so far adrift.

I'd take two 1-0's for us all day long.

This will be a tough one, depending on if we have anyone back we may be best hoping for a draw. They arent down at Forest level. Obviously everyone will be eyeing the forest match as a win, so while its a big opportunity to string points together, we are brutally short.

When we were in a far different position as a club than we are now.
