Absolute crap hole from start to finish

Just knew the day would be crap when there were massive queues to just get into the Fanzone for the first time

Then the whole debarcle where the sirens were going for 5 minutes before z cars started

Then the multiple stadium announcements about operations safety whogivesacrap

Instead of tarkowski booting the ball away he passes is straight to Brentford player and they score

We then do the typical self implosion after conceding early and of course Brentford score direct from a corner

Have no idea where the defence was for their third and fourth goals

Just a farcical day an absolute shambles

Linesman wasn't ready for the walkout and Taylor waited on him. Hence the delay and extra sirens.

Faffs about and messes with a winning team - no excuse to bugger about with a defence that kept a clean sheet. Keane has been ok but there’s zero need to piss about to get him back in - he made everyone worse again today like he used to, and JOB was awful at rb. Keep patto there for the balance it provided.

Grealish coming in I can forgive, but not for the player dropped - Rohl should have started for Mcbogbrush.

Zero intensity and every player allowed themselves to be bullied by a set piece coach and his pub team grocks - well done Davey and the boys, happy friggin new year.

Motm Beto for actually giving a toss and having a go when he came on - totally shambolic from the rest of them. Harrison Armstrong should get more minutes as well, but he probably won’t.

Moyes inviting a load of justified scrutiny today for changing the back four after a great performance last time out. It also impacted Dibling who was completely isolated whenever he got the ball - O’Brien didn’t even seem to want to pass to him. Completely nullified our right hand side. Poor from Moyes today

Mistakes and lack of pace at the back cost us. Tarky always plays better with a pacy central defender next to him i.e O'Brien or Branthwaite. I think we will see more of Armstrong next game.

I always find it funny when you hear people outside of Everton say we are good at home, not just this season but at Goodison when we were there. Even though basically we have not been for ages. Its even more annoying when you get an oppo boss winning at us saying its a hard place to come to win at etc

I went for Grealish as MoM if only for his cross for Barry's goal.

Didn't expect that, I thought Brentford would struggle this season after a change of manager and losing the likes of Mbeumo.

Decent replacement though. Impressed with them

I think this is as good as we can expect from the panel of players currently available, there is no squad depth. We are playing players who aren’t Premier League standard, they can muster the odd good performance and get a result but any consistency is simply beyond them. When we are able to field our first 11 we will pick up points, maybe even get ourselves up to 8th place. The transfer window will determine where we go this season, buy a centre forward who can score and a right back who can deliver a cross and defend then we might even seek into a European spot.
Today’s game was going to be a test, we have progressed from last year but just not as far as I’d hoped. Attention now switches to the next game, hopefully we get a player or two back shortly.

O’Brien did really well at centre back in the Forest game.
We never looked comfortable in defence today.
