What a wonderful walk back home that was. Look, without going ballistic at the easy targets, our full backs were atrocious this game. Single handedly lost us any chance of consistently creating chances. Dibling (who was poor, not defending him), was consistently marked by about 3 Brentford players on the byline and O’Brien was on the half way line. No wonder he couldn’t do anything going forward. On the left, Mykolenko’s refusal to do any run beyond Grealish just means the other team can throw 3 players on him without worry of an overlap. Not saying we win that game with Aznou and Patterson, but the balance of the team with a center back and a bad footballer at RB and LB currently means 15th is our cap.

Passing through the middle was poor but it’s easy to crowd the middle when the other teams know we offer nothing on the width. Beto the only one who showed some intent when he come on.

They put 4 past us without being amazing, that tells the story in itself. Moyes couldn’t wait to change a winning team AGAIN to parachute back in a defensive player. Guarantee the same team starts against Wolves and struggles in rhe exact same areas.

Absolute crap hole from start to finish

Just knew the day would be crap when there were massive queues to just get into the Fanzone for the first time

Then the whole debarcle where the sirens were going for 5 minutes before z cars started

Then the multiple stadium announcements about operations safety whogivesacrap

Instead of tarkowski booting the ball away he passes is straight to Brentford player and they score

We then do the typical self implosion after conceding early and of course Brentford score direct from a corner

Have no idea where the defence was for their third and fourth goals

Just a farcical day an absolute shambles

If we play like we did today on Wednesday, we'll be sitting 14th ourselves. Was so hopeful today and after about 7 minutes I said to my lad "this will he a repeat of Newcastle, far too easy to open up".

Maybe, mate. I must admit I am surprised at how few points Wolves have because in the two games we have played against them this season they have been alright and they will be going for it that's for sure.

I am sorry mate but we should not be paying 42m for raw talent, he was even poor on youtube so why did we even buy him.
When other teams pay that kind of money for raw talent and then there’s headlines about City et al sniffing round for double, you’ll always get the shouts in here that we should have been the ones making the initial find.

We’ve speculated on a lad who looked very good in a horrific PL team and for his England age group. I don’t think we’ve handled him at all well, and so he’s not nearly as integrated into the squad at this stage of the season despite the fact we knew we’d need him over AFCON.

I have faith in him coming good, but I don’t think a single person thought he was arriving here as the finished article.

Everyone knows just put the corner under the bar and we can't defend it
Spurs started it and everyone has done the same each week despite the big lumps of lard we have in defence
3 we're marking their corner and Barry failed to connect..again

Great to see our strike force demonstrate quality; Beto and Barry rippling the onion bag alleviates concerns around their potency.
But what happened at the back?...I expected a narrow loss but I did not foresee Brentford scoring so many.
It's a very frenetic period match-wise and I'll put today's result down as an aberration.
I am very excited to see the result of the impending FA Cup fixture. I do not watch the games Everton are involved in as I do not much like the type of footie we play...but I eagerly look for the result.
COYB!!

Need to bounce back against Wolves.

Stubborn goal Moyes must sort this ish out. Just change the fullbacks completely. Had enough of wedging players in.
