The only thing consistent about Everton, is we are inconsistent.
I know the forum will be in meltdown , but we are what we are. A mid table side, with a chronically thin squad.
We are far better away from home because we can play on the counterattack.
We simply haven't got the quality to play a possession based game, especially without Ndiaye and KDH.
We are still a work in progress and one transfer window was never going to be enough ,to turn a side that has been fighting relegation around.

We will end the season in the position we deserve. Because the league is tight at the moment single results skew things. My hope for this season was not to spend the first 36 games worrying about relegation, and it looks like that won't be the case as it would take an appalling run to put us in trouble. Hopefully a right back comes in and we can get a half decent striker on loan. If neither of those things happen I struggle to see anything other than a bottom 6 finish. If we were to get both, we'd have a chance of challenging for a top half finish.
Wouldn't put it past them to have an awful run...get to that 40 points asap. Games are often very close, so you could easily lose a few on the bounce and quickly find yourself under pressure...exactly what's happening to west ham...wolves on the other hand are playing with freedom. We need a reaction quickly to not fall under a run of results that puts pressure on the team.

Looking back at that game, that initial amazing save from their goalkeeper from mcneill shot in the first few minutes was key. Not sure how he managed it really...

Trying to figure out today, did they play Damsgaard slightly deeper and he simply was afforded the key to the city all game? Did we not get a man on him at any point in the game so all their play came through him? Besides Thiago who they could find blindfolded and put him in on goal, who else was the break danger for them?

One thing we know for certain is this squad is nowhere near good enough for European football
Scares me to think about being trounced in Europe and then having two days rest before looking lethargic in the league too.

Squad is a long way from being able to handle European football (which is ok, I guess, because we sure aren’t getting it this season).

We have too many bang average players in and around the team unfortunately.
He's not even average tho... Lge 1 player at best... There are about 15 better left backs in the championship... His level of ability, multiplied by 3 or 4 positions on the pitch is why results like today happen
