Can someone give a reasonable explanation to what VAR was checking for the equalizer? I have only seen replays on phone, but am absolutely baffled as to why it is even being considered as a potential offside??? Or were they checking something else? Did I miss something?

I assume it was for Doucoure being in an offside position on the far post as the ball came in but he wasn't interfering with play.

They went back to the mid 2000's looking for something to chalk it off.

Had I not watched the game, I wouldn't have been surprised by a 1-2 loss. Not only did we manage two goals, we neutered the top team in the league with a bare bones squad. The turn around of this team since Moyes has been incredible. Couldn't have imagine a derby performance like this a few weeks ago. It's not 3 points but there are plenty of wins from that performance.
