Took the father in law today on one of our STs. (He’s a red sorry)…. But he wanted to go the new ground with my lad (8) and of course his grandson.

Think he even got emotional when my boy was crying with that Grealish winner.

God I so hope we can go and win something for us but especially this new generation with this new era.

Totally disagree. He’s way too defensively minded to play alongside Gana. Every single pass is backwards or sidewards. As soon as he went to right-back and had the game in front of him we were a much more cohesive team. Alcaraz and Irogbunam both are much better suited to those central positions. He’s like a blend of Phil Neville with his sand wedge set pieces and Leon Osman with his powder puff shots. He does a much better job at right back

Finally from me, two personal asides if I may;
October 5 1968, 57 years ago today was my first ever Palace game. Happy Anniversary to me.

My 5 year old granddaughter ( a budding Evertonian), knowing her Grandad has been in poor health lately and on joining her Dad and brother watching the game and seeing the score (1-1) said “ I hope Everton don’t score again, Grandad will fall to pieces!”

You have a really good team there, very cohesive, easy on the eye and extremely well coached. With a bit better finishing and any other keeper than Pickford to beat you’d have been at least 3-0 up at half time. You’re definitely good enough for a top 6-8 finish.

Not sure who you've been watching cos it certainly can't be Garner..

But I will always back Garner and always have, love the lad..

So I'm not gonna get into a debate with you about this, cos it will never end and that won't be good for my head..
