We got lucky today, but we never get lucky so it's nice for a change

First half performance was shameful; second we saw a team and fans unite to get the points.

The fact that they had all that travelling and playing in their legs coming into this from Thursday helped us send half.

We need to be way more proactive in the future.

The 2 games where we have won at home, Brighton and Palace have had loads of chances to score and win but we have somehow managed to get a win. The 2 games where we have drawn Villa and West Ham we have been better side and have had more chances but unable to win. Weird how football matches can be won.

Barry needs to improve- significantly.

Hold up play is non-existent, first touch is abysmal and he’s fluffed his lines one too many times.

He doesn’t need intense criticism but he also needs to do himself and favour and toughen up. Also think he just needs to work harder, there’s no excuse for not giving 100%. He’s not there mentally either which is a massive worry.

In some of the games we’ve dropped points the opposition have been lucky our strikers are poor, we’ve dropped points in games we could have won easy.

Yes but Wharton was playing in a 4 and Garner in a 2. We have to look at 3 at the back, or 4-3-3.

I don’t think our centre backs are athletic enough or good enough on the ball to play three at the back. I find it alarming how laboured we are in moving the ball forward.

Entirely agree. We start the vast majority of games really poorly - been like that for years. Feels like a mentality we need to shake as much as tactics. It is utterly infuriating because look what happens when we properly go at the opposition, we can do major damage.

Yes I was thinking CP dropped off 2nd half as much as we pushed.

Hopefully chasing and getting a result with pushing up that we did instils belief in our Midfield and Defence to get in / around the box more.
