Lets keep the goodwill going and look forward to taken on unbeaten Crystal Palace in the @Alan Whittle Derby.

Tough game this. But still one we can get something from.
No Kdh for this..Don't think Jarrad will be risked until after the break.
Personally id try Iliman up top, Dibling on the right and Charly in for Kdh.

They will cause us plenty problems though . A win into the break would be marvellous though.
Find it hard to insult Palace. Great club. Bar that Simon Jordan .

Yes @Alan Whittle is a good egg.

Now, football. We mustn’t fall in to the trap of letting perfect be the enemy of good.

Yes I want to be at the top, but we have to be realistic. Look what we’ve come through in the last five years. We’re still here to talk about it when we could’ve been relegated or even non-existent under 777.

Compared to the last few seasons we’ve started reasonably well, and bar the derby have picked up a couple of points while still being relatively poor compared to August.

No team is ever going from relegation fodder to CL (Leicester excepted as a fluke) immediately so let’s get behind the team and manager and look forward to being in a better place this Xmas compared to the last few yuletides.

Whatever line up we use has massive weaknesses.
I don't see any point in starting Barry or Beto right now. I'm going for players who might string a pass or two together and we can have Garner or Charly carry the ball from the midfield. (I'm going with Rohle still being out)
I'd rest Tarks and go with the central pairing who did really well for us for those few games at the end of the season.
Front three i'd like to see switching it up throughout the game.

Pickford
Coleman, O'Brien, Keane, Mykolenko
Charly, Gana, Garner
Dibling, Grealish, N'Daiye

Some madness on here today - Moyes would only play a false 9 if there was a Rapture scheduled for the week after. Alcaraz replaces KDH and thats more than enough change for an unbeaten Moyes team!

Pickford
O'Brien - Tarkowski - Keane - Mykolenko
Garner - Gana
N'Diaye -Alcaraz - Grealish
Beto
If the Garner/Gana aaxis can snuff out their midfield we have a chance - surrender possession and let Charly carry the ball forward to the widemen.

We win 1-0

Branners and Rohl back after the break.

The typical Moyes situation here. Only makes a change(s) cos he has to. Stubborn AF. Glasner will not know how the team will be set up (he can normally just look at the previous few weeks) and we will win. Moyes then stick to that 'new' set up for yonks until, once again, injury/suspension force his hand.

Dull as dishwater.

My early optimism has started to abate. Really need a good performance and a few goals in this but I’m not holding my breath with our strikers. Need to try someone else up front and bench both of these fellas for a bit, Beto more so.

I have a feeling this will be 1-3 to Crystal Palace, but I want to be positive, so I'm going for an Everton win with Jack Grealish scoring.

007 EVEPAL .webp

We will play much the same starting XI bar KDH who is injured. These are a proper well drilled unit so expect us to sit back and try and hit them on the transition when they'll be a bit more unstructured. On that basis, Alcaraz to come in and Barry over Beto, with no other changes to speak of

Pick
JOB Tarks Keane Mykolenko
Gana Garner
Ndiyae Alcaraz Grealo
Barry

Much in the way that we're in the habit of allowing others to break their beaten runs, or letting goal shy strikers bag a couple, we're also in the habit of doing the opposite.

Expect us to win and Barry to net his first goal for the club.

Going 2-0. Utft
