….important to remember that the Manager also has to think about not losing the game. I’ve not been concerned about substitutions, I thought the ones v West Ham were obvious and wasn’t thinking of others as I watched the game.
And maybe that's the issue; more concerned with losing than winning.

Fairs though

Until we progress from a "don't lose" team to being a "try to win" team we will forever be stuck in this limbo we've been in for nearly 40 years. None of the clubs we aspire to be in the company of approach games accepting a point as a positive outcome. We very much do in about 30 of our 38 fixtures.

Palace are a strong side and seem to be coping without Olise and Eze - actual superstars.
Henderson Guehi Wharton Mateta are playing really well - but that Munoz has a blinder whenever I see them.
Very quick and very strong. He'll go to a massive club soon.
Hopefully Jack can push him right back - but he needs to be quietened down.
Do this and we can beat them. Keane has to outmuscle Mateta too.

It still baffles me how we have injuries that seem by all accounts relatively minor when first reported (knocks, pulls etc.) that then turn into major season long, career defining injuries. I know all clubs get injuries, but seriously, what the hell are we doing that is turning our lads soft tissues into jelly?!

On topic - we’ll struggle with our lineup, but with luck whatever we put out on field will click. 2-1 to the plucky gelatine-muscled blues
