Been miles the better team and should probably be 2 or 3 to the good. McNeill and Grealo both had good chances and Armstrong should have squared it for a TB tap in

Yeah they had 5 mins at the end but these have had no possession and will tire after 60. We'll end up winning 3-0.

Played well: Armstrong, Garner, TB, Alcaraz

Must do better: Grealish

Played badly: McNeill

5 minutes of nothing possession btw. I’d rather see us be smart and composed than rush out and open a gap. Treat this game like any other match. If Wolves are doing the Saturday we’d want to ride it and wait for our chance to get on the ball again. Same here.

Some decision making could be better but his touches have been lovely and should have had a tap in if Armstrong squares it

I know McNeil is naturally left footed, but is he really so incompetent with his right that he can’t punt a cross in?

Several occasions he had it on the right with people to aim at, but he cut back every time to get it on his left, by which time they had recovered and closed him down.

Frustrating to watch.

Not great but you can see that there’s a team in there somewhere…Barry done alright some nice layoffs…Armstrong just needed to square the ball to Barry and we’d be one nil up…Charlie doing bits…it’ll come…Jack doing Jack things…..2-0 to the blues by the end!

Alcaraz and McNeill have been wasteful with it. Trying too much give and go and the second pass isn't connecting so they have to chase it down again.

Barry looking like he has a nice side to his hold up game but I'd like to see him get an actual chance to shoot here.

Midfield non-existent for large parts there.
Pressing done by the front 3 or 4 then a line of denfeders. Moyes either gave bad instructions, or needs to tell them to stop dropping into the defenders and creating space in front of our box.

Looked like the front line were having an argument with Garner/Armstrong about it in the last 5 there.

Seem too content to let them cross it in, that last one had Mykolenko worried.

Typical Everton cup game this, players don't look bothered at all. Barry needs to put more of an effort into his CF play, he's just a bit slow.
