The team looked much more balanced with Garner at right back.

O’Brien has done nothing wrong but it’s time to move him to his best position, whether that’s in rotation with Tarkowski / Keane or just as a backup option for now.

We didn’t really lose anything by not having Garner in the middle yesterday too, which is another big positive. Iroegbunam / Röhl were fine there.

I agree. Though Garner is a central midfielder by trade we actually have decent options in his position unlike at right back so it makes sense to use the better players in the squad rather than O'Brien out of position plus Garner at right back gives us a better balance going forward. Obviously it's not a full time solution but until January it's our best option

Little bit irked at Moyes post-match when he's asked about Garner's position. O'Brien stinks the place out all season so far, Garner gets moved back to right back as we're so abysmally lacking in the area and there is an immediate and drastic improvement. Moyes' response? "I see Jimmy primarily as a central midfielder". I would not at all be surprised if O'Brien is back at full back next week, as Moyes again said, "for his height". Absolutely ridiculous given we have been useless from set pieces, took him out of the side yesterday, then scored with a set piece. Garner must remain right back especially since we have plenty of options to fill in at central midfield.

Much better balance about the side today, Dewsbury Hall was played deeper and looked far more effective, Garner pushing forward from full back allowed us to play a 4-3-2-1 and, especially after Rohl came on we looked far stronger in midfield. I went with Dewsbury Hall for MOTM, but, Barry was very good for the 80 minutes or so that he played.
Think your papering over the cracks with the quality / ability in ths squad. It was Fulham and a side who didnt really turn up. Let's compare this quote at Man Utd away next.

Tomorrow is mine and my dads first visit to BMD and we can’t wait!
Gonna get there early, track down our stone on the walk and see the sites.
(Proper bad wool tourists us sorry)
We had the best day yesterday
8 hours driving but the weather was perfect the whole way. Got to Liverpool around 12 and made our way over to the docks, popping into a pub on the way which looked like a little hole in the wall but then opened out into two huge warehouse areas with big screen tvs showing the spurs united game so stopped in there for a pint

Then walked to the ground itself… breathtaking. What a stadium. Great food outside - had some salt and chili Chinese dish I can’t remember the name of but it was brilliant then tried to find our brick on the walk but couldn’t as it was quite busy and the club never told dad where it was located 🤣

We were at the very top back of the north stand almost right behind the goal. The walk up wasn’t nearly as bad I thought it might be and then stepping out for the first time was incredible, I actually stopped and took pictures which I never do.

Then the blues must’ve known I was due a win (my last four games at Goodison were 1-3 v fulham, 0-2 v Luton, 1-2 v Norwich and 2-5 v Watford) as we dominated them start to finish.

My BMD record is now 100% with no goals conceded and I’ve celebrated us scoring five (even if only two counted)
