After an uncertain start, I felt the players settled and gave a determined and gritty performance. General vibe was that a victory was essential. Kinda glad the Spurs defeat is out of the system, in a weird way the "unbeaten at the new stadium" tag is a relief to drop. Can focus on turning in focused, intelligent performances again. Stadium had a bit of anxiety up to the second goal. Immediately afterwards a nice hum reverberating around it. Newcastle at home under the UFO lights and biting Mersey winds should hopefully be a cracker - indeed United away seems a great opportunity to go there and get a win for a change - They ain't all that.

Great to see everyone streaming out at the end with big smiles on their faces again. And fair play to Barry, have a feeling once he bags one a huge amount of pressure will lift from him, the support will go rabid and he can really feed off that encouragement and will adapt and improve. All positives for me.
