Why come back as coach one day?!?

This attitude is sickening 🤮
Why not come back as a coach?

Few thousand pounds a week to do a few hours "work" a day, 4 or 5 days a week on the training pitch, keeping fit, being around the lads, still involved in the game, etc etc. Bring all that 'experience and leadership' you hear so much about.

Wouldn't be the first time we've handed out jobs to ex players for no other reason than they once played for the club.

Who knows, maybe he'll go and play in Ireland or somewhere for a year or two then come and be a coach. We all know this club makes sure 'legends'/any ex player has a place and a paycheque if they want one.

Forgetting the poor result.

Anyone know what happend with the two separate medical episodes in the lower and upper east?

Also noticed a couple of fans getting quietly escorted out by police first half in the lower East, section nearest the SE corner flag?

Did wonder if related to that shower of red getting peltered for their winner?

Going into this game we still had a genuine chance of qualifying for a European competition.

We needed a professional and win at all costs attitude for the whole game but approached it like a pre-season friendly.

Players bringing their kids on to the pitch before kick-off.
Seamus Coleman being subbed on despite the fact we were losing.
Dwight McNeill(who we wanted to sell In January) getting a farewell appearance despite the fact that he is a poor player whilst better options remain on the bench.

There was something riding on this game and we chose to treat it as an end of season non-event.

The club reeks of mediocrity we should have come out all guns blazing for the win and like you said we treated it like a friendly

Great assessment of the game, but that said: it didn't surprise me one iota, because it's Everton and it's what we do.

Some of the players seemed mentally on the beach, some were probably not wanting to risk their summer transfers or World Cup places, and everything felt very EOS non-event as you say. That's the difference between the top teams/teams that achieve their goal and.... well, us.

(As for this being McNeil's last game, unless I've missed a transfer confirmation, I wouldn't bet against him being here next season at all).

We have the worst full backs in the league. People are having a go at moyes and I get why. That said how we have gone so long with out a proper RB and what ever mykolenko is meant to be at LB I will never no we honestly would be a much better team with even two half decent full backs.
just galling to see Digne rack up assist after assist.

At one point in the first half Myko had about 3 attempts to put a decent cross in, left foot, right foot, left foot. All absolutely chronic.

This is the one grace I offer our manager. Put fullback options.are easily the worst in the league.

Xhaka shows how important a good, experienced guy in the middle can make a team play above itself. We’ve not been the same without Grealish as an out ball.

N’Diaye has been totally ineffective of late. He often has the chance to the byline but instead will check inside and run around in front of their set defence. Hes has a poor season.

It’s beginning to look like we really need some serious surgery at the back as well.
So drop him then. That's management. Why does he keep playing him if he's so ineffective?
