well, we've petered out to nothing. But at least we're not battling to stay up. I suppose that's something, but it does feel like an opportunity missed. Thought we were pretty poor today.
Be interesting to see whether we stick with Moyes. I assume we will, as I don't see our owners as being that proactive. If we do stay with him, the best we can hope for is more consolidation in the league. We need some first teamers, let alone back-up, but I'm not convinced we won't see JOB as right back again next year

We don’t threaten for the cups, we don’t threaten for Europe, we don’t threaten for anything in the league.

You’re saying we’re good just to make up the numbers? Good grief.
This was the first season in a long time there was never going to be any threat of relegation so we had no reason not to really go all-out and give the cup comps our best shot, yet, in "typical Everton" fashion we crash out of both of those at virtually the first hurdle with very little fight.

Why anyone is surprised we've found a way to throw Europe out the window whilst our competitors pick up points is beyond me.

Move them for next season please
Of all the things about the stadium that irk me, I have to say, I'm very surprised someone at this club chose to give away fans a prime seating location compared to Newcastle who'd put them on the roof if they could. All this embarrassing talk of a "blue wall" nonsense and we give the opponents a great place to sit, just to the side of an emotionally reactive goalkeeper, where they can make lots of noise, and so opposition players can celebrate right in front of them. Another cracking decision by EFC.

Once again we can't keep the ball. S'land mildly pressed us whenever we had possession and we'd pass it gradually backwards until it ends up with Pickford for a big hoof upfield. They get the ball and we stand off them until the have a shot at goal. From the restart it's 'rinse and repeat.' We have some very poor players. Even Garner. I didn't notice him calming things down and getting a bit of quality possession. Spurs will better us!

David Moyes deserves credit for getting us into a position where we could contemplate European football next season but any credit he built up is lost for showing absolutely no ambition to try and take that opportunity. In my opinion David Moyes has done a stellar job in getting Everton away from the relegation zone but I truly believe he has come to the limit of his ability, it looks like he will be in the dugout next season. Hopefully he can get in a few better players and improve the team but I don’t think we will fulfill our potential until he is replaced.

I'd say its more a coaching issue than a player one as Moyes doesn't really do possession football (look at our 'innovative' kick off routine he devised for example)

I have just watched the post match presser ,it seems we lost today because they don't normally score a lot of goals and we have had two bad penalty decisions that have cost us points in the last few weeks!
At no point did he take any blame for playing those players week in and week out ,in fact he blamed the fact that they have played so many games ! He beggars belief ,surely if there is any justice he will be on his way out this summer ,if he isn't then TFG are just in this for a quick kill .
