ok cheers. will swallow pride and buy

Shame you're doing it this way round though mate!
-and hang on, do you still get the full game? It might just be for 12hrs for complete footage and good quality. I'll check if you want dude.
Everton tv used to be around 20quid way-back, so I don't begrudge paying for pre-season-the adverts are a fag now, but the quality of pre-season's improving a lot :)
Edit:
The full game's still up :)

..all manager's want to stamp their own identity on a team. Its an ego thing, they want the team to be recognised as theirs rather than somebody else's. The fear I have from this game is that RM might be trying to do things too quickly. If he wants the 'total football' style he should bring it in slowly and dependent on the players he has available. Whilst I'm not resistant to change, I suggest ne maintains a certain amount of continuity with a gradual transition.

Martinez needs to understand that if he goes 3 at the back then we will get burned by teams splitting us open down the middle or wings BUT teams will also press high up the pitch and suffocate our back 3 in possession.

It simple for me....Bob plays with a 3 at the back then we will repeat the same mistakes as Wigan, go with a back 4 and he should be ok. If he wants a back 3 he needs to go out and find new players who can play that system who have the natural ball skill to do it.

What will it be bobby lad?

juve won the league with a back 3, and obviously their back 3 is not very good considering la galaxy poked 3 past it

so im sure we will be fine with the milkman, el capitano jags and newboy toby.

He didn't always play 3 at the back at Wigan.

'Kinnel i'm still tired from watching this now.

Not sure if i've given my views on us yet.

We were surprisingly decent I thought. This was Real Madrid we were playing not effing Hull City remember.

First half that high line played right into their tactics which was a bit retarded, but I was impressed with the way Martinez sorted it in the second half. Saw the problem, then fixed it. Good that. Just see the probkem before the games starts next time hey. We may have coped with them better had Gibson been playing from the start and controlling things like he does.

The only player who didn't show any promise was Kone. But i'm not gonna be nasty about him. It's way way too early. And who really cares if he wasn't great? If he slots against Norwich nobody will remember this.
Jelavic was still falling over like Bambi on ice, but was in the right place to slot. And I guess that's what matters.
Mirallas is really going to shaft some teams this season. We do nned to show patience with him though, as sometimes his dribbles and tricks won't come off. But when they do we are in for more treats!
Fellaini played well I thought. He's defo not getting forward as much in the pre season games, and that's probably a good thing I think.
Baines and Coleman are boss.
Osman is Osman.
Howard played well I thought.
Heitinga I just don't see the point in him anymore.
Jag and Distin obviously stretched first half, but still super comitted to the game.

Oh and that 5 seconds bit of bossness from 'The Barca Kid' gave me a semi.

All in all really happy with that run out. I'd imagine he will tinker with the team a lot for the next game.

Marca had Kone and Heitinga as are highest rating players against Madrid (6 points out of 10). More evidence that these journos don't actually watch the match half the time. He just named 2 players who he knew from when they played in Spain.

I trust our manager's tactical nous accrued over years of extensive study in the game far more than the 2-paragraph scrawl of some ted on a forum
