kone had his best season for years at the age of 29 and scores 11 (13 in your book)

i cant see him being our top scorer

Why aren't you counting goals which aren't league goals, like the cup etc.

I made the same point about Jelavic a few posts ago, he'd have significantly less goals if he didn't score in the cup competitions.

I don't know who will be a leading goalscorer, Kone scored more last season so I'd imagine he'd be favourite.

However Jelavic has looked very good in pre-season, if he carries on in the same light then he should start against Norwich, no question.

Jelavic and Kone provide different options which our squad needs. Last season when Jelavic was out of form all we had was Vic. Its good to have multiple options to turn to

Today it was a midfield three of Osman, Heitinga and Fellaini (who again played forward). Depressing.

Play Fellaini deep next to Gibson and get Barkley into the hole behind a front three which includes Mirallas and Deulofeu. Speed + Creativity and watch Jelavic bang them in.

Well it was a great day out. Met loads of great US Blues who've never seen us before, stadium was amazing, our fans were brilliant, had a great laugh.

....I know all manager's want to stamp their own identity on a team, but I'm a bit wary that RM wants us to play tiki taki with players who aren't up to it. Square pegs round holes. When Heitinga was on he had 3 floating centre backs with licence for one to join midfield. That's all good and well with Beckenbaur's, but our lads looked like an accident waiting to happen. Agree that we were against top drawer opposition, but I wonder if we should all be prepared that things could get worst before they get better.
