Our whole way of playing the game needs to change and without quick overlapping full backs it can't happen, to a point. I've said before we need to get out of this mindset of humping the ball up to a big lumbering centre forward. We need a centre forward who is quick mobile and strong along with a number 10 who can both make things happen in the final third. We need to overload the midfield and stop playing with out and out wingers. We need midfielders who can push wide if necessary or come inside to support the midfield and allow the full backs to overlap. We need to quicken our passes up and play through the lines. I'm sick of this archaic out of date football we play. Our wingers hardly get crosses in anyway and when they do it's nearly always cleared, so what's the point.

Stating the bleeding obvious here, but we desperately need to find a goalscorer.
Improvements may be needed all over the pitch in order for us to create more chances, but we just can not continue squandering the chances/half chances when they do come along.
He could be here but but not being given the chance— Braiden Graham, no guarantees he’ll score but he certainly won’t waste the number of chances missed by quite a few near ever presents this season.

What would we give for a free scoring young talent ,not afraid and comfortable in the box ? Oh that's right we have one ,just too young and has no premier league experience but loads of goals .

I'm going to put my neck out and say I'm pleased with how the players responded with 10 men, they didn't shy away from the ball at least and a few seasons ago that game would of been well out of sight. I still see progress
Really ? Progress is losing the last how many games at home and not having a great performance all season ! A great result yes we have but not performance unless you count losing a man for pulling hair as progress .

Didn't watch the game. Voted George out of curiosity.

How was he? He looked sharp in one of the highlights I saw.
He looked promising but raw ,he did fit in well as he made quite a few bad passes .He has something that will show when he knows those around him .He made a few one two's that were good thinking it was just that the two wasn't ! A step up in footballing nouse from our guys bar a couple .

Its the style of football that ultimately got him the sack at Man Utd as their senior players knew it wasn't going to achieve the success they were used to.

I like him as a signing, but he looked a bit out of place last night. Got caught in possession a few times, and struggled to get into the game. We rely on players being able to hold onto the ball because we play with our forwards' backs to the goal a lot of the time, and he wasn't PL standard in those situations.

He looked better in the Chelsea side because he had better players around him I think. Also, the idea of him playing as a striker doesn't really fly based on what I've seen - again, our system relies on a strong number 9, hard to knock off the ball. I can't see Moyes changing the system just for Tyrique.

Possibly one to bring on when we're chasing the game? But then who else do we play wide? Mind you, Armstrong came on and looked dangerous and strong. Not a winger obviously, but I would expect Moyes to be more likely to start Harrison than Tyrique next time out.

Right royally pooped our pants....as usual.

Start work early at 6.15am, leave work early to avoid motorway chaos, sit in traffic 2Hrs, get soaked walking from City centre, watch another Moyes masterclass, get soaked walking back to the City centre, get home at 12.15am. It's becoming really tedious watching Everton at home.

We've endured dull, negative, overly-cautious garbage under Koeman, Benitez, Allardyce, Dyche and Moyes. Why can't a so-called Big Club attract a positive, forward-thinking manager/coach and at least try and entertain us? We always choose dinosaurs.

Last night was wholly, 100% on Moyes. He declared a fully-fit squad bar Grealish yet persisted with square pegs in round holes. His substitutions are pathetic. Can anyone honestly say that we have a defined pattern of play? Other than total predictability and slow, laboured build-up?

I'm convinced we must have the absolute worst ball retention stats in this division because we simply can't keep the ball. We give up possession at every opportunity without pressure from the opposition. I'm a believer that all professional footballers at this level must be able to control a ball, pass a ball and move into the correct position so unless somebody can show me otherwise that suggests that the coaching team simply do not know how to develop our control and retention of the ball. I heard people behind me saying 'Bournemouth are sh!te' all night, yet their passing, control, movement and tempo were light years ahead of ours.

Totally frustrated watching professional footballers restricted by out-dated, cautious management. Forget where we are in the table - the league is really poor so a few away wins should not be seen as great progress.

Ok, it’s the afternoon after the night before and I feel a lot more positive-

Probably like most of us, I wouldn’tve started with that team and I would’ve made a lot more subs, but we actually played reasonably well - certainly better than we played to beat Fulham - and were unfortunate to lose to a team that’s been playing really well this year. Jarrad seemed to shake off the rust and grow into the game, Garner and KDH were excellent, Armstrong came on and looked like someone destined for the very top. There are many glimmers of light.

At the moment, we’re not even halfway along on our journey from the bottom to the top and I don’t know whether we’ll make it, but I’m certain that if we hold our nerve and stay generally supportive, we’re going to get a whole lot closer to it over the next twelve months. Even on days when we feel ⬇️, we shouldn’t forget the big picture that we are going ⬆️.

I presume you mean Braiden Graham? Hopefully his time will come. 🤞There is no guarantee that he will make that step up though.
"A young free scoring talent with loads of goals" was exactly what we thought we were signing in Thierno Barry.
For every young Wayne Rooney there are dozens of young Martin Murrays unfortunately.

Regarding Graham what harm would it be to have him on the bench not an out and out striker but certainly at u21 level looks composed in front of goal
