Bloody hell. First things first, managed to get a place to park despite the council and EFC's shambolic traffic non-calming measures which seem to change week by week, and was pleasantly surprised that the rain didn't pee down on us for 90 minutes despite being four rows from the front in the East Stand.
Football-wise, I thought our half time lead was deserved and had we a half (or even quarter) decent striker up front we'd have had the points in the bag by the hour mark. However, we don't. I reckon I'm a pretty positive fella (especially compared to some of the grumpy, negative gits I hear around me on matchdays) but even I am now finding it difficult to defend our Two Ronnies up front, they are hopeless. They show no improvement from week to week and are lacking in all departments. Bournemouth on the other hand, and fair play to them, have just sold a superb forward for £60m+ and have slotted in a 19 year old in Rayan who looks the part already, big, brave, pacy, and he not only knows where the net is, he's capable of getting the ball into it.
My son turned to me at the start of the second half and said it was a big, big, half for us. Unfortunately we ballsed it once again, and having seen yet another nothing performance from Barry and Beto (who, by the way, seems to improve in the eyes of many with every match that Barry plays but seems to produce the square root of eff all when he actually comes on), I think their lack of quality will cost us an European slot which looked all the more likely after the first 45.
That's enough, I'm boring myself now.
