Really poor performance.
This and Wolves. I'm slightly concerned something has gone on in training with the players and management.

The drop off is alarming as is the lack of urgency.

Just all-round poor last night.
Like a lot of people have said, we’re not going to fix our issues in one transfer window, and we remain a Frankenstein’s Monster of a team because of our recent past.

We just became too predictable last night. Whatever happened to wide players who could drive to the by-line and fizz a cross in? Ndiaye had a shocker and Grealish needs to be reminded that we don’t have De Bruyne or Bernardo Silva lurking on the edge of the box for him.

Last night's game made me wonder whether Moyes has based his tactics straight out of the Dycheball handbook of playing one central striker up front and hoping that he will somehow act as a conduit by holding up the ball and bringing others into play when said striker is as mobile as an oil tanker and can't trap a bag of cement to save his life.

Maybe we need to drag ourselves away from the classic Everton No.9 format and try to concentrate on bringing in quicker and more mobile forwards?

Can't praise Jack enough both in attack and for his defensive input but despite all his abilities he needs to be played more central and, perhaps, be a bit more selfish. He has players around him who are capable of drifting into good positions and drawing defenders away from him which will open up more space to get shots away.

Keane was solid and deserved our MOTM but the sooner Branthwaite is back the better. Not at the expense of Keane btw but to remove Tarkowski out of the line up as he is becoming an increasing liability these past few games - probably age catching up. I would bring O'Brien back in alongside Branthwaite and maybe shoehorn Keane into the RB position in his place barring a resurgence of Coleman albeit he is barely fit nowadays.

Barry doesn't look great but he is still young and getting to grips with the PL so needs time and should not be written off yet. And Dibling looks like he has something in his locker but coming on so late in the game and making his debut at HD he was, well not pedestrian, but played it safe in the minutes he had.

And, finally, I noticed the boo boys were still out in some force but are they against the players or DM's tactics. I suspect the latter or, at least, I hope so.

We should have saved the 40 mil spent dibbling and 10 mill on Aznou and bought a 75 mill goal machine up front. Instead of 25 mil on Barry Chuckle.

If we had….you would be crying we have not signed a right winger or left back cover.

Also probably moaning that the likes Brighton sign young projects and we don't ….

I swear some of you just make up reasons to be angry every single game when it’s not gone our way.

Do you all do this in real life!?!🤣

5/6 of that west ham side walk into ours btw….and i dont care what the table says, they have some really good players.

Under dyche we lose that game.

Its not all that bad lads, come on.

A days holiday and 7 and a half hours driving for that dross. A very very poor display. Moyes has usually got a lot out of what he has to work with but he's not doing that at all right now. He has better players than we've had for a while but all we seem to be good at is ineffectually holding onto the ball in patches.

The team is very one paced and the way Grealish moves with the ball is so stuttering it gives the opposition so much time to recover their positions. Beto is only really useful when the ball is played ahead of him within the width of the penalty area, and nobody seems to be trying to play those balls and he doesn't seem to be looking for them with his movement, or lack of it. Gana looks tired.

Moyes hasn't evolved at all in terms of subs. Games are longer and more subs are available but we don't use them. We needed a goal last night and Alcaraz, who has a knack of scoring them, wasn't used. I think we've been pretty poor for most of the season, glossed over by having some entertaining players to watch in Grealish and Ndiaye. Rubbish at Leeds, Brighton should have been 2 or 3 up before we scored, played well at Wolves, didn't do enough against a limited Villa team low on confidence, gave the RS a head start so they could play in 2nd gear and then that debacle last night.

I suppose at least we didn't lose despite being so bad. Dibling looked lively when he came on, Keane played well, as did Garner. Moyes has work to do.

Should have put that to bed in the first half. Nuno clearly woke them upon the second, showing what a good manager can do with very little time, I think Wham will be safe this season.

Clear also that Gueye ran out of legs, O’Brian exposed as a slow player and not a right back. Ndiaye had his poorest game for sometime and Tarkowski’s form has nose-dived. Beto is a hopeless centre forward.

On the upside KDH, Garner, Mykonos, Keane, Grealish were all okay.

Referee was poor, constant fouls on Grealish, no-one booked, then books KDH for a strong 50:50 challenge, where he won the ball.

All in all, a disappointing night, we did not lose and we’ll need to do a lot better on Sunday.

Said to my mate before the game that I had a bad feeling about this one. Whenever we feel like we're on the cursp of turning a corner this happens. We had two winnable home games. Now it's just the one against a very good in form team.

West Ham have clearly got good players. You wonder if we had Diouf bombing on past Grealish if the outcome would be better. On Grealish, he is clearly class but he slows things down a lot. Sometimes a bit of chaos is needed instead of allowing their back line to organise. The 1st goal against Brighton was quick and decisive.

Moyes should have seen that changes were needed. Not a lot was required to put them under pressure.

I would like to see a few more tactical fouls too. They made loads and that won them a point. There was an opportunity to hack someone in the build up to their goal. Midfield absolutely miles away from helping too.

On reflection, D+ transfer window as only a handful have contributed

Next convenient excuse Palace form and players…then obviously City ground…
