Patterson - had a solid game and good to see Moyes go for him over Young. Bodes well he could get more opportunities there or possibly right back or rwb before the season is out and show he still has a future here

McNeil’s return - will give us a huge boost and fresh ideas. I don’t think he’s brilliant but he’s much he is better than all our wide options aside from Iliman. We need a shake up for the run in

Team Spirit - we are not a good side but by god are we dogged. Some resolve Moyes has created in the squad

Sunny Goodison - sat leaning against the bricks as I type this out, soaking it in. This is a special place and I will miss it terribly. I had a long hiatus from here until a couple of seasons ago and I really regret it. I hope this is not my last visit

As soon as Saka came on Young's appearance was inevitable.

I can only think Moyes knew before the start that Saka would be on the bench, that's why Patterson got a start...and did f.a. to impress btw.

The good news is he didn't get injured and so hopefully he stays on the bench from now on and out the door in the summer.

Wasn't the best game but would we have taken a point before kick off, I mean considering the lack of class we have, I'd say yes.
I'm slightly disappointed but that's a huge improvement because a few months ago I would have bitten your hand off for a point against Arsenal.

We have reverted to playing crap and not scoring. Do we miss Lindstrom? Hopefully McNeil’s return will freshen things up,

I think we've scored ten goals in our last eight games, only failing to score against the soon to be Premier League winners at their place.

A team like Bournemouth would have turned Arsenal over there today. They had Real Madrid on their minds but still dominated the possession and created more.

Ultimately, they have better players than us in most positions

Take the point but we were terrible again. Moyes' loyalty to the frankly appalling Doucoure is killing us.

We restricted RS and Arsenal to few chances and lost to an offside goal and drew against the team in second place. When are people going to realise we are not anywhere near them in terms of quality yet some people are acting like we should be beating them. Moyes ain't daft he isn't going to go at them but he will restrict them. The quality of the RS and Arsenal would have picked us off if we had a go at them. We are a bottom half team and Moyes and most fans know that so lets not act as if we should be having a go at them thinking it would be successful

Walked back to Kirkdale station with a couple of Arsenal lads. Decent chat! They said they don't come here when they play the vermin. Not worth the hassle they get off the horrible bar stewards at Mordor. I showed them a photo of the away section at BMD and they were quite impressed.
