Of course.

There's every chance we'll come crashing back down to earth against Villa.

And people who call naysayers knee-jerks for losing their crap over singular defeats are hypocrites if they think one win suddenly makes us der best team in der werrld lerd.

I'm encouraged though. Moyes has clearly changed a few policies and we were playing some quality football tonight. I do think we were a tad lucky not to concede after essentially playing with every man behind the ball for 30 minutes, but to be fair we've got a sensational defence so perhaps we weren't lucky there.

Let's see though. A good start (gasp) but it's just the first step.

I agree. But like the user above said, we were also unlucky in not getting a few more. A good start could mean great things.

I think one thing we can all agree on is that we love it this time of year. Bring on more football and more Everton victories!

I said to my bro after the game, did Howard have a real save to make?

Because De Gea certainly knew he was in a game.

That piece of player in the first half, started off by Neville then Baines and Pienaar on the left, to Gibson (was it) over to Jelavic (or was it Felli?) who nearly scored from a tight angle. Would have been goal of the season contender for sure, it was unreal play, United were chasing shadows.

9/10 for the ref (Marriner) booked Nani and Scholes early and set a standard that no one else got near.

At a time of such awful officiating it is only right to say "job well done" when the man in black gets it right.
Called a number of goal kicks for us in the last 20 mins, a lesser ref might've given them as corners

Beautiful that tonight, beautiful. Every team in the country will know now, we are a very, very good side, and we can beat ANYONE. Dont want to get too carried away but I have a great feeling about this season. See the difference when we actually buy footballers? Still chuffed!

Can we play United under the lights every year? 3 1-0 wins with towering 2nd half headed winners into the net at the Street End. Got to love the Night Match atmosphere at Goodison - there's none better.
