FFS!

Speaking to this man today who basically owns buildings I work in, he is a red but has an interest in us as he was part of the team looking at Kings Dock. Anyway he told me that many people around the area are pointing the finger at Finch Farm's training ground as the reason our players are getting injured so frequently.

Something to do with the pitches being too punishing on the legs.

He also told me that Gregg was instrumental in the collapse of KD.

Christ.

P Jagielka ACL Knee Injury 28th Dec 09
M Arteta ACL Knee Injury 9th Jan 10

The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of the four major ligaments of the human knee. In the quadruped stifle (analogous to the knee), based on its anatomical position, it is referred to as the cranial cruciate ligament.[1]

Alright narky.

Not sure if they are related, but it's becoming too much of a coincidence that players are either injured or facing a late fitness test. It's every single game we play. Somebody picks up an injury between the end of the last match and the start of the next.

I think a lot of the injurys happen in the games to be honest. You can see the players all limping off after games.

Theres only really Ossie I can recall picking up a training injury, the bulk have happened in games.

Is there a link between ACLs and hard pitches?

possible link in that if a foot is planted in the ground and the body twists most of the rotational force will be most likely be placed on the knees as the feet wont be released from the ground. Saying that I knackered mine on a soggy sunday morning pitch... So hard pitches and the type of stud/blade

Just because they occurred in the game, doesn't mean they weren't instigated in training. Muscles may be getting to tight and when they step it up in an actual game - the injury occurs.

Too many for just unlucky now. I agree that something isnt right, maybe the pitches arent helping, maybe its combined things, unlucky, hard pitches, too hard training, crap coaches. Who knows.

Well thats what we are trying to discover. If I can be arsed I will look at the injuries, and when they occurred and who was the coach at the time.

If I can be bothered like.
