Match Report

Everton 0 - Scum 2
Att : 39,652
Goodison Park

Pre-Match : Everton made 4 changes from the Hull game, Fellaini, Bilyaletdinov, Hibbert and Jo, replaced, Neil, Saha, Yakubu and Rodwell. The scum fielded a [Poor language removed] team with no Ladyboy Torres.

First half : It was a bright start from the boys in blue, the Goodison crowd was up for it and the players responded. So it was a real killer blow on 11 minutes when Mascherano fluked a 30 yarder that bounced of Yobo and wrong footed Howard. It didnt take Everton long to try and make amends and 5 minutes later Billy should really have made it all square. The ball fell to him in the area and he had more time than he thought and he ended up scuffing a poor shot wide.

Everton continued to push and where playing some nice football at times, if not lacking a killer ball. Jo was playing the lone frontman fairly well and ended up with the ball in the net on 2 occasions, both times the officials got it spot on the and "goals" where chalked off. But it was all Everton and the players where rightly applauded off the Goodison pitch at Half Time.

Second Half : The second half started with a bit of comedy as Pepe the clown got into his goal at the GSE end some young scamp threw a beachball on the pitch which he removed with a smile. Still a bad tit like.

Again Everton pushed hard, but didnt really break down a strong Scum defensive line, with 2 banks of 4 behind the ball most of the time. Pienaar was probing hard and managed to get a shot away which the clown nearly fumbled into his own goal.

The best chance of this half fell to Fellaini who after an excellent header by Cahill and save by the clown found the ball at his feet with only the keeper to beat. The clown was close and he could only direct his shot at his body. Again Everton pushed hard and made a few subs to try and tip the balance, none of whom made any impact sadly.

But it was all Everton and coming into the last 15minutes you just felt that the boys coud grab something. Untill Yobo slashed at a ball in the area and after a fine save from Howard the ball bounced to ugly Kuyt and even that absolute dog wasnt going to miss from 6 yards out. 2-0 game over.

Post-Match : Everton played excellent here, they all fought hard and you could see the will to win from every player, after the first half at Hull it was lovely to see the players really up for it and it was a boost to see with some tough games coming up with Spurs at Home and the Rent Boys away.

We really didnt deserve to lose and theres no way the scum deserved to win, but you dont always get what you deserve in football sadly. But hopefully the boys will take away all the postives, which there was many. Unlucky Everton.

So its on to Spurs after a weekend game in Athens, Home games are now going to be vital for us to get of this slump, a bright performance from everybody today and it means we should hopefully go into our next few games heads held high.

Something to build on, roll on Athens.....Same determination , passion and teamwork should see us ok......
Luck wasn't on our side , much like the season so far.

Proud of the lads though the result went against us the reds know they were out played we need to stick those chances away! But if we play like that we will soon be climbing the table .Great effort .

Was a great experience my first Merseyside derby. Goodison was buzzing and I loved being part of that. Can safely say, that my dislike of the Redshite has grown during Sunday's encounter. Unbelievable lucky bastards they are. Didn't deserve anything from the game and ended up getting everything.

DT, you said you weren't coming ? you missed sharpies mobile bar at the spellow before the game.

proper turd..........

played them off the park... runts:@ will someone check for me jo,s gloves coz i think he thinks there goalie gloves...

What annoyed me was their 2nd. Howard saves first shot and just palms it back into the middle of the area for it to be whacked in. He did the same thing against Benfica so one could argue he was to blame for the goals.

What happened to palming it sideways for a corner?

You cant really fault Howard, all he can do is get a big hand on it, its up to the defenders to react faster than the attackers, but it bounced straight at the ugly Dutchman.

I am sure it's been said but i'll say it again, Fellaini and Heitinga dominated the midfield, outstanding. Both shown leadership and took ownership.

If only we had a decent striker on that pitch, even someone like Andy Johnson.... we would have walked it.

Absolutely. You imagine Arteta and Pienaar playing with them 2, it's an awesome midfield.

Get the Yak fit and well, and have Cahill supporting him, Champions League side that.
