Don't think Moyes has had time to really put his mark on this game.
Hopefully the players have a bit of spring in there step more freedom and want to impress the new boss.
Villa are a good side
Settle for a hard fought 1-0
I'd be happy enough with Young LWB instead of Mykolenko. Only thing is that would mean Patterson on the other side and not sure if Moyes would start with O'Brien and Patterson on the right hand side in a 343 yetWould love to see us try 343 but McNeil is the best option for that LWB role…the idea of Myko playing there makes me want to cry
A draw would be fine with a home game v Spurs to come. A defeat would be deflating thoughA lot of blue tinted glasses on here reminiscing about the glorious Moyes era. I fear a poor result tomorrow or even a draw will stunt the tiny bit of momentum from a new manager boost. Look at Forest. Great manager, lifted the team.
I’d appreciate if Moyes went with some actual bold changes out of the gate. Drop Doucoure. Drop Myko. Show that there is actually competition for places when players aren’t performing. Keep Armstrong in as the 10….
Pickford
Coleman Jake Tark Branth Young
Gana Mangala
Armstrong
Ndiaye
Dom
Give Coleman and young the mandate to get forward often, knowing if they only have 60 minutes we have subs to replace them. Let Ndiaye float and just get on the ball as much as he can.
Show some guts.…
Unfortunately he must make his selection from the players we have so will not be able to weave a silk purse.I think the main thing is who he selects. If he gets the selection right, it'll set the tone.
Agreed.Coleman and Young as the wing backs?! Villa will be laughing to themselves for about 20 minutes in the warm up.
Myko is only getting dropped when another LB is signed although I guess Young could shift across if Patterson is selected on the right.
'Moyes Out' if so. There is no defence for selecting Doucoure any more.Agreed.
Mykolenko will start with a four at the back or a five.
If we go with five at the back Doucoure could lose out but other than that I think he starts.
