About sums it up.

Well, we didnt lose. Which despite Liverpool playing a 2nd team is a little amazing considering BFS still thinks the terrible trio of Davies, Rooney, and Schneiderlin are a thing. Its hard to win any games with that as your midfield 3.

Its not that Rooney doesnt have some good games, but pairing him with Schneiderlin is dreadful, and it hurts the entire rest of the team. Throw in Davies who is just having a poor season, and the entire core of our team makes it harder on everyone else.

To try and pretend that was Liverpool's reserve side today is really ingenuous, and just goes to show what a one man (Salah) team they really are. It would be more realistic to say that Everton put out their reserve side with a couple of first team players in it, after all many posters on this forum (you know who you are :bye:) have said on many occasions that most of our players aren't good enough to play in the Premier League.

I voted for Jags and when you consider his age, I think he was excellent. Roll on next season with a new manager when we can attack teams for 90 minutes and not just for the last 15.

A starnge game.

For 75 minutes it was embarrassing the way they were bossing the game.

Then we have the last ten minutes where I have not seen Everton batter them so much since about 1986 :(

Although I suspect that was because their legs went after Wednesday night’s efforts.

That incident along with the introduction of DCL really changed the nature of the game both on and off the pitch.

Indeed, we looked a bit more dangerous going forward after DCL came on and Pickford also had a good game.
In fact thinking about it there were a few improved performances today....Keane, Jags even bloody Schneiderlin played better today, more work needed though.
