Nev, you're a credit to your fanbase. Every team has their sound ones and their bells, and you're at the top of the sound list. Tonight was our night.

I have a sneaking suspicion you'll still finish ahead of us in the table though...

Classy as hell, Nev. And agreed on all fronts as far as Kagawa is concerned. He looks like a proper menace. You need to get Rooney back on the Atkins though!

Best of luck with the season mate. Hope you school [Poor language removed] outve the neighbours.

Got a text after the game from a Man U mate of mine saying the same thing, you don't get that from the other lot

I remember the whole Stretford End willing us to win. But that was ages ago and the stuff of pub quizzes.

I've quite a few Man Utd pals and bar one they have all been completely gracious in defeat. I think it says a lot about our performance tonight. I'm buzzing and can't see me getting much shut eye before being up again at 4am!

Evening Toffees No Complaints from me

You thoroughly deserved your win

Fellaini was awesome

Please play as well against City and the vermin

Love and peace (y)

Even though I'm a Leeds fan it's always good to see a Man Utd fan gracious in defeat. Maybe cos it's a refreshing change to all the entitled glory hunters who think one defeat is the end of the world. Fair play mate.

For what it's worth I don't think Man Utd played too badly, just that they weren't in first gear and were a bit nervous dealing with Everton's defence. Goodison is a really tough place to go to. Hate to say it but Kagawa looks like a good player.

Fellaini, what a beast! Really underrated player, capable of causing some serious damage to defences. Everton's defence were solid, Jelavic yet again proved himself to be one of the best signings of the past year. Really great performance, Everton bossed that one!

Disgusting that manchester united fans are so disrespectful! *hillsbrough chants* Seriously have some respect #JFT96

The Ferg-a-nator said:
He (Fellaini) is a handful: he is a big, tall, gangly lad and they just lumped the ball forward to him, that's all they did,'' added Ferguson.

"They worked from that base all the time and they got a goal from him, so it's justified.
"Centre-back is a problem but we coped quite well, I don't think you can criticise their performance in that respect. It was just difficult to handle him when they were knocking these balls up to him. Michael did fine, good on the ball and applied himself well, they all applied themselves well.''

Goalkeeper David de Gea was in excellent form in the first half and had it not been for him Everton could have been well ahead by the interval.

"We were the better football team, they had eight shots on target and De Gea did very well for us in that way,'' he told MUTV. "But we had the possession and made some great openings without actually finishing it.

"That was the only difference. These shots on targets the goalkeeper did really well. Other than that we played good football, good combination play, on another day we would have won the match.''

Pray for Fergies Cat!
