Fergusons father was an ex pro
If he's advising him and let's him go to Chelsea to become a squad player then it's very foolish. He needs to go somewhere and be the starting number 9 and see how it goes .
Saw that his father is the one wanting and advising him to leave Brighton in order to play again. Not sure how accurate that is but the lads saying that on the Brighton forum seem to know their stuff around the club.

Didn't know he was an ex pro but makes sense more now

Not sure where you’re getting the attitude issue stuff from

The German made it clear there is no problem with Ferguson’s attitude, application, professionalism, lifestyle or character. In fact he made a point of saying the striker is a great character and hard worker.

He also made a point of saying his talent for scoring goals is still clear in training.

But he was honest enough to admit the string of injuries have stunted his progress.

Particularly the injury involving a troublesome ankle that required an operation and also kept him out the last month or so.

There is understandable concern then about what West Ham might be about to get themselves into.”
It came from him a few weeks back when he said in a PC that even if the player was physically fit to play football he wasn't mentally fit to play so wouldn't feature. Comes out with some odd lines at times does Fabien, also its no secret than he had numerous run ins with De Zerbi either (as did a few other players tbf) It could be he is just a bit fiery and rubs people up the wrong way, many of these foreign managers have strict standards, look at ten Hag, Amorim etc etc, they clearly won't put up with even the slightest little thing out of place.

I think this depends completely on the price for me. There's going to be risk with a signing like this because he has had lots of injuries. But he clearly has huge ability so it could pay off too.

If it was 20-25m, I'd say it's well worth signing him.

If it was closer to 40m or more, then I don't see the value and the risk is too high for the fee.

Is it that bad?

Maybe the manager last season had a spat with this player and that was the reason he picked players in there 30's instead of him.

Sometimes a manager just doesn’t give a younger player a break for whatever reason

Moyes did it with Barkley

Martinez did it with Duffy

Large Samuel did it with Lookman

Ancelotti did it with Gordon

Dyche did it with O’Brien

Sometimes the talent and/or potential is there, but the manager doesn’t buy in

It’s not always a behavioural thing, there’s a multitude of factors that go into it
