Transfer Rumour Evan Ferguson

No mate, the Lukaku type goalscorer is a unicorn.

Lukaku is a one off striker for us since the PL began. And in general, clubs at our level, hell, clubs outside the top 6 don’t have strikers who score consistently like he did for us (Vardy being a huge outlier for Leicester).

We didn’t have a striker like Lukaku since the PL started. We have only ever had bang average strikers or the occasional flash in the pan strikers who manage 1 great season (yak, Saha, DCL).

People often compare to Lukaku as if we should be getting a striker of his calibre, they don’t exist barring a handful every season who generally play for the very top teams.

We need a striker right now that could get us 10-15 goals a season. Let’s not suggest that players capable of that can’t be found for under £40m. Other clubs find them for cheaper fees and then suckers like us come along after a season when they have been hyped by the media and offer 20x what they were originally bought for.

Ferguson “may” prove to be fantastic.
But he hasn’t really shown that so far barring a handful of goals has he? Like some are making out.
Let's get another Beto or Maupay instead then. Such small time thinking.

Sounding like he wants the move to Wham over us.
Move on if so.
I don`t see why he would be looking there as a good move for him. They have had a few good seasons since moving into their big athletics stadium, getting into Europe and winning a trophy, but they have started to drop off back to the lower reaches of the PL.

If he ended up at Chelsea he'd be in the same position as he is now- not playing . I think he will go to West Ham where he'll be more or less guaranteed to be playing regularly.

Young lad with stories about him liking socialising goes to West London, what could possibly go wrong?

Not sure where you’re getting the attitude issue stuff from

The German made it clear there is no problem with Ferguson’s attitude, application, professionalism, lifestyle or character. In fact he made a point of saying the striker is a great character and hard worker.

He also made a point of saying his talent for scoring goals is still clear in training.

But he was honest enough to admit the string of injuries have stunted his progress.

Particularly the injury involving a troublesome ankle that required an operation and also kept him out the last month or so.

There is understandable concern then about what West Ham might be about to get themselves into.”
