Transfer Rumour Evan Ferguson

1. Buy all the players so that no one else can buy them.
2. Proceed to neither play them nor loan them out.
3. ?????????
4. Profit by selling a hotel to yourself and release the players so their careers are ruined.
I think they're so scared of missing a good young player that they're buying far too many of them. It's almost certain to backfire on them

Think he would be a great signing ... Worth the punt even if it means just signing him this window ... wonder if sheamie and jake o brien could have any influence here

….i’m a big believer in ‘acceptance criteria’ being reached before agreeing acquisitions and that includes a bad injury record. For example, investing in Delph (even on a free) was ridiculous given his age and hamstring issues. We could actually list our ‘acceptance criteria’ for our recruiters.

Much depends on the injury and I commented earlier that Ferguson appears to be suffering from ankle/foot injury which in normal circumstances would be recoverable from but you’d want a stringent medical.

Regardless, reports suggest he’s wanting to join West Ham over us so it’s looking like a closed discussion anyway.
He's a young player though and you have to factor that in. He hasn't played that much football as a professional.

I mean it has, they've spent loads on young and/or English players with literal no return - Drinkwater, Barkley, etc. just got ruined by them, or at least their careers died off. KDB went there as a very promising and exciting player only to never play, but he left much earlier as he had sense.

This frivolous spending makes our PSR ban just that bit more infuriating as well really.

Also young enough to come in here then kick on again get another move. If he did come in here would be a clear sign he would be the number one imo
Straight in to the starting line up.

What a boost to the whole club that'd be.

If these new owners want to prove themselves they have the ideal chance by bringing this lad in.

I agree that he’s a player that can lift a squad if he stays fit and focuses on the job. And as easy as it is to put the boot in on the owners, I just do not see how we afford him this window? The Dom injury has scuppered a Beto move, that was our PSR flexibility no? Look, I’m not going to get my hopes up here (still grieving from the Marcus Edwards thread), but this isn’t an easy deal to make in our position. If we had a loan slot to stick an obligation to buy in summer, it would be a lot different…
