European trophies are a mess

I don't think you'll see Larne, TNS, Shamrock, Shelbourne, Lincoln or Hamrum qualifying for any other competition.

We need to focus, the boys are tired. We've played 20 games less than a side who lost to a National League North side. Who cares if they won a trophy? Our boys are the real warriors here.

If we aren't focused we won't be able to secure 13th. Stop being ambitious.

We win FA and yet many don't even want to go in these competitions, because it harms our chances in the league to.... qualify for these competitions!

Exactly why would we want to be in Europe, All those extra games makes it harder to get into Europe...

It gives teams a shot in Europe. If they win, they move up a level. Not sure what the problem is. It also negates any drive for another go at a European super league.

The Conference league maybe as it’s meant to be 2 bob by design - I’d still happily see Spurs win it though.

The Europa is different though, you can’t just breeze to the semis, it has proper sides in it, next year it has Juventus, AC Milan, Leverkusen, Marseille, Celta Vigo. The English representatives are Palace, Bournemouth and Sunderland - can’t see one of those 3 winning it.

The point is that there is very little difference. We would all like to win it. But the only teams interested in the europa league and the conference league are the teams playing in it.

Take a look at who Villa and palacehad to beat to win the trophy. It’s got to be the easiest route to any any cup final available to an English club.

Iremember the days when the European Cup was just for the Champons of the European Leagues, Cup winners cup for the cup winners o said league and the good old Uefa cup for the also rans. Football back then felt real not the plastic, corporate monstrosity it is today.
