Aside from City and PSG bribing Infantino, this is actually disgusting. If true they should be kicked out of their respective leagues and left to it. Cant imagine fans of any of those teams being happy about this, but I suppose it lines the owners pockets.

Chelsea and Man City were nothing sides a few years ago and PSG didn’t exist until 1970 . Now these three amongst others want to form a breakaway league . I presume in about 10 years Salford will be pushing for it , What a world.

Why are people always fearful of this? It would be absolutely amazing for a club like us. Get rid of the financially doped clubs and clubs like us, Spurs, etc. Would dominate and actually win stuff.

Would never happen sadly as this is what the CL effectively is these days.

Doesnt seem to be any talk of relegation either so its just the same teams that play over and over again - nobody leaves and nobody gets in.

They need to hurry up and let the rest of us get on with it.

So this would mean the English teams on that list would no longer play in the premier league? Wonder what would happen to the champion s league if that was the case.

Will never happen sadly - how will clubs fans afford travelling week in week out abroad to watch their teams play? Atmospheres would be gash for the tv.

Same way we were integral to the start of the Premiership. This will replace the Champions League not the PL initially. I can’t see any way this doesn’t eventually start a breakaway European league in the end, though.
I welcome it, and would love for it to mean that money drained from the league we were left in. TV figures go down, interest goes down, ticket prices go down and we remember what this whole thing should be - a way for communities and people to find a communal place and identity with hope of success, not with success and appearing as top rated on FIFA as the defining factor of the identity.

Apparently, according to the German version of the Spiegel report, there is much more to come. Fourteen news organisations worked on the Football Leaks stuff and, for example, German broadcaster NDR will have its own documentary which is being shown at 21.45 on Sunday.

The research is based on the data records of the Football Leaks platform, which were handed over exclusively to SPIEGEL for evaluation and shared with the research network European Investigative Collaborations (EIC) and NDR. This is the largest leak ever reported by investigative journalists. The revelations turn the inside of a corrupt industry to the outside.

I'd be all for this, especially if they could play the tournament on the moon...AND even more so if a) someone made a serious misjudgement on the amount of oxygen required and/or b) the rocket that took them there breaks down and they drift out to deepest space.
