Thats the aim just a beefed up CL,the games get played over the weekend for maximum coverage and they want the PL games played midweek,English clubs dont want to lose the Sky pound and the European teams want a snout in a trough

Yep appears that way - going for two troughs.

Well the English clubs are miles a head in TV rights over the rest,if they jibbed the league off and joined a Euro super league where the money is all the same for the top clubs, the monetary power isnt as great

Big picture gets unanimously voted down by all PL clubs, a week later this is released

It Utd and Liverpool flexing in an attempt to scare the PL, and like it or not they have a lot of power, If the league lost Utd,Liverpool ,Chelsea and City then it becomes a weaker product and slowly the money would dry up with all the best players clambering to play in this new competition

It’s actually frightening for us given the money we are about to plough into a new stadium

no on is suggesting they are leaving the PL, it is suggesting they ditch the CL for a new competition, with a walled garden for qualification.

In theory this wouldnt undermine the PL

Headline says those two article says "big six" (no longer top 6) - Firmly believe this is an attempt to push their agenda on the "strategic review"

14 should ask the 6 to confirm if you are in or out by specific date
Absolutely, what is the point in this weekends games if you are Sheff UTD for instance? You are just treading water until they decide to do one.

apologies, only a read a brief bit on Twitter

So are they saying it’s a closed of CL basically

So if I'm reading this right it is going to be a standard league format with 16 or 18 teams and no relegation. So what I'm wondering is how they are going to handle it when there are 3 or 4 teams left playing for the title by February or March and everyone else is playing out the string with 10+ games that mean nothing. Arsenal vs Dortmund sounds like a good match that people would watch in theory, but if both teams are 25 points off the league lead and aren't playing for anything, what then? Arsenal fans are going to be showing up and watching on TV for something like that? Color me skeptical.

There is a reason that American sports have playoffs. It makes it so almost every game has at least one team playing for something all season.

But if that happened it also gives other teams a better chance to step up and win things, two ways to look at things. The real purpose of big picture is now in the open and can not be clouded with an alleged gift of money for the lower league's, it's greed for more money, by our American owned friends Liverpool and Man United. Strange bed fellows, just hope every other team and their fans remember this.

So there'll be an 18 team league, 5 from the premiership, and the top 4 or so play a knock out to see who wins at the end.

No champions league.

So they'll still compete in their domestic league. But what's incentive.

This has all come about from them being scared of us upsetting the apple cart this season, as well as Leicester and wolves.

They've all got the biggest financial backing in the world and still have to fight tooth and nail to achieve something but still don't like that and just want it handed it to them instead ha
