I was thinking about this. They both need it. UTD far more so but, there are too many teams with money these days and the RS don't like spending theirs.
Between us, spurs, City, Chels, Leicester, Arsenal,UTD, them turds and Wolves, the current four teams get CL is just too much risk for them. One bad season, and they can fall well behind, which is how it should be of course. They clearly want to close the doors behind them so no one can challenge their position.

I wonder if Klopp et all will complain about too many games. Now we know why they were so keen to reduce the league by 2 teams, bin off the Community Shield and the League Cup. Absolute scum.

If they jib both cups off will it be that many more games? Im sure they would play weakened sides in the PL as there is no real incentive to win it if the other league is a closed shop and pays wnough £££
