Sorry, yes, Villa need to finish 5th and not top 5 for that to work.Nope. If Villa finish 5th and win the Europa, then the team in 6th qualifies for the Champions League. This has been explained and confirmed by both BBC and Sky.
No one watching Brighton v Chelsea to determine our champions league fate then? Thread on page 2…
There’s a scenario here that a Liverpool win on the last day could send Everton into the Champions League. That Derby disaster could be a blessing in disguise - could potentially help push them into 4th, Villa into 5th, who then win Europa on the Wednesday night before losing to City away on last day. Liverpool beat Brentford, a competitor for 6th and we beat Spurs to secure Champions League. It’s on!!! Nurse! Help!
I’m convinced this can be willed into existence.I have run the permutations 100 times and ITS ON
Losing to Bournemouth at home when 1-0 up, will probably be the result that does the most damage.Brighton have quite an easy run in, other than United who can be hit and miss. Sadly I think we’ve got one of the hardest run ins.
Dropping so many points to the bottom 3 this season will be the reason we miss out on Europe.
That and the poor recruitment in the summer then January...we had a few decent games lately and with the exception of KDH, none of the new players are really helping us to step up. Brighton has a superb recruitment strategy and it is starting to pay off big time. We need more KDH this summer and less rohl or barry...Brighton have quite an easy run in, other than United who can be hit and miss. Sadly I think we’ve got one of the hardest run ins.
