Aren't we still only 3 points off it? I know I know, all the other reasons why we aren't in with much of a sniff, but there's still a lot of teams to play each other and take points off each other in this log jam of a table. You never know.

It’s not like being at the bottom where a couple of wins rockets you out of danger and you can look forward to the summer. We are supposed to be fighting with the teams in the top half of the table. They will keep chipping in with wins or at the very least draws.
Fulham, Brighton, Brentford, Bournmouth etc. They will lose games where the other teams perform better on the day of course. None of them are amazing. But we can’t go into a supposed European challenge just half arsing games with no urgency and bite. Probably got a bollocking at HT and came out and played even worse.
We need pace, power, full backs, strikers etc but we desperately need a captain. A proper one. Not one that’s quiet and leads by example, or one that trains hard every day and has new signings round for dinner. An on pitch beast that leads by example, trains hard every day AND reads the game and the performance and batters teammates if they are letting the side down. Changes things mid-game if he sees something working or not working. Someone should be screaming in Barry’s face when a run is on and he can’t be arsed. Same when Myko boots a great crossing opportunity straight out. Demand more ffs.
